Foam Roofing in Scottsdale & Phoenix, AZ
Foam (SPF) is the right answer for most Valley flat roofs: seamless, lightweight, energy-efficient, and recoatable indefinitely if maintained. HailCo installs and recoats foam systems on flat residential roofs, parapet structures, and commercial buildings.
- Seamless SPF application with cool-roof coating
- Recoat-and-extend service for existing foam
- Energy savings on AC load in summer
How we do it
The three things we will not skip.
01
Recoat before you replace
A foam roof that's been kept coated lasts effectively forever. We'll assess whether yours needs a recoat (cheap) or a tear-and-replace (expensive). Usually it's the former.
02
Cool-roof certified coatings
ENERGY STAR rated coatings drop summer attic temps and AC load. Utility rebates often apply.
03
Patch tracking for parapets
Most foam-roof leaks start at parapets and penetrations, not in the field. We catalog and patch those before they migrate.

Scottsdale, AZ · Roof Replacement
“Hailco roofing is an awesome company to work with. They worked with my insurance to help get my roof replaced, helped walk me through what my policy would cover and what they could do. Tanner was a huge help in keeping in communication as well as once their install crew was scheduled that side also kept me informed. They were able to work with solar panels as well, making the whole process seem less and stress free. I would 100% recommend this company and use them again if needed.”

Phoenix, AZ · Insurance Claim
“Hello, I had the pleasure of working with Hailco Roofing. They replaced my dad's roof. Everyone I worked with were very nice. They took care of all the paperwork and contacting the insurance themselves I didn't have to do anything. When it came down to replacing the roof the crew was fast and efficient. When finished they cleaned up all the debris and left nothing behind. Now I'm in the process of replacing my roof and I'm also using Hailco Roofing. Thank you so much to all the team.”

FAQ
Questions we hear about foam roofing.
How often does foam need recoating?+
Every 8 to 12 years in the Phoenix sun. A timely recoat costs a fraction of a replacement and effectively resets the clock.
Is foam slippery to walk on?+
Less than you'd think. The textured coating provides decent traction. We add walk pads on regularly accessed areas.
Is foam roofing right for my Scottsdale home?+
If you have a flat or low-slope roof, it's the first system we'd quote. Foam is seamless, adds R-value, and in Arizona sun outlasts most alternatives when kept coated. Not right for steep residential roofs.
How do I know if my existing foam needs a recoat or a tear-and-replace?+
We measure coating thickness. Above 20 mils, a recoat is the right call. Below 10 mils with visible alligatoring, the base foam is at risk. 10 to 20 mils falls in the judgment zone — we'll show you both options.
Does foam roofing qualify for any Arizona rebates?+
ENERGY STAR certified cool-roof coatings over foam qualify for APS and SRP utility rebates. Amounts vary by year and program. We check current rebate tables before every foam quote.

When does a foam roof actually need a recoat? The honest answer.
Foam roofs in Phoenix can last effectively forever if you recoat on time. Wait too long and you're paying for a full replacement instead.
