Co-Owner & Lead Estimator
Meet Tanner Sewell
Tanner Sewell is the Co-Owner and Lead Estimator at HailCo Roofing. He's the person who shows up at your house with a clipboard, walks the roof, and writes the number, and he runs every residential estimate across the Phoenix Valley personally rather than handing them off to a sales rep.
Tanner co-founded HailCo with Casey Carlson in 2023. He'd built years of estimating experience across Arizona's roofing market and saw firsthand how often "the cheapest fix that actually works" wasn't being offered to homeowners, because the cheapest fix paid less commission than a full replacement. HailCo doesn't run on commission. Tanner's estimates are based on what the roof needs, not what closes the highest ticket.
On site, Tanner inspects deck, field, flashing, valleys, and penetrations on every walk. The deliverable is a written quote with itemized material, labor, tear-off, and decking-allowance line items, and a recommendation that names the cheapest path that solves the actual problem. Sometimes that's a $400 repair. Sometimes it's a $24,000 replacement. The math is shown both ways.
Tanner is based in Scottsdale and personally handles all owner-walked estimates across Scottsdale, North Phoenix, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, and Tempe.

When you schedule HailCo, an owner is on the job.
Three owners, three areas of ownership: estimating, operations, and crew quality. On residential estimates in the Valley, one of them is the person walking your roof and writing your quote.
