How we work in Scottsdale
Three steps. No theater.
01
Inspection and photo report
Owner-led roof walk, photo documentation of every issue found, and a written diagnosis. Flat-rate $150 to $275 inspection, credited toward the repair if you proceed with HailCo. No 'free estimates' that turn into upsells.
02
Smallest fix that holds
We price the minimum scope that actually solves the leak. If you have a single bad flashing and 95% of your roof is fine, we'll tell you that. If we'd recommend a small additional fix while we're up there, we price it separately so you decide.

Same-week dispatch
Most Scottsdale repairs are scheduled within 5 business days from the inspection. Active monsoon leaks are tarped same-day from our Scottsdale yard, with the permanent repair scheduled inside the same week.

Scottsdale questions
Roof Repair in Scottsdale, five honest answers.
How much does a roof repair cost in Scottsdale?+
Most Scottsdale leak repairs land between $400 and $900. A single vent boot or flashing replacement is on the low end. A section of cracked tile with new underlayment patch or a 10-foot ridge-cap re-bed sits at the high end. We charge a flat $150 to $275 inspection up front and credit it toward the repair if you proceed.
Do I need HOA approval to repair a roof in Scottsdale?+
Almost never for like-for-like repairs. Most Scottsdale HOAs (including McCormick Ranch, Gainey Ranch, DC Ranch, and Grayhawk) require Architectural Review only for replacements or color/material changes. A tile patch with matching profile and color, or a ridge-cap re-bed, doesn't trigger ARC review. If we need to swap to a different tile color because the original is discontinued, we'll flag that and submit the ARC packet on your behalf.
How fast can HailCo respond to a Scottsdale roof emergency?+
Active leaks during monsoon season get a same-day or next-morning tarp from our Scottsdale yard. Permanent repairs are scheduled inside the same week. Off-season non-emergency repairs are usually inspected within 2 to 3 business days and scheduled within 5 to 10 business days.
Does Scottsdale require a permit for roof repair?+
Not for most repairs. The City of Scottsdale permit requirement kicks in for replacements or for repairs that involve more than 25% of the roof area or structural sheathing. Standard flashing, ridge-cap, vent boot, and sectional tile patches don't require a permit. If your repair scope is borderline, we'll tell you up front whether a permit applies.
Will a repair void the rest of my Scottsdale roof's warranty?+
Not when it's done right. We document the repair with photos and a written scope, which keeps your underlying manufacturer warranty (GAF, Eagle, Boral) intact. Off-warranty installs (where the original roofer is no longer in business or never registered the warranty) get HailCo's own workmanship warranty on the repaired section, typically 5 to 10 years.
